About Us

Pat has over 20 years of experience in the human resources field. He has been a resident of Kelowna since 1954. Pat brings a wealth of expertise to the Executive Recruitment & Appraisals Inc. He has been in private practice in Kelowna since 1980, was employed with School District No. 23 as a District Psychologist for 15 years, and, for 7 years, managed the Human Resources department for one of the largest general insurance brokers outside the lower mainland. Pat also provides consulting services to clients in the forest industry, and has established a significant clientele based within the medical/dental health care industry. Pat can provide solutions in human resources management, recruiting and staffing at all levels, career and executive coaching, resolution of people issues in the workplace, and outplacement.

Pat also conducts seminars on a variety of workplace issues, including staffing and recruiting. The premier workshop offered by Executive Recruitment & Appraisals Inc. is facilitated by Mr. Walls and his associate Ms. Renae Clarkson, and focuses on the Cahners TRACOM Group Social Style Model ™. This premiere behavioral styles model has been used extensively in developing skills that allow people to communicate more effectively, reduce workplace tension, and understand differences.

One of the corner stones of Pat's counseling philosophy is the encouragement of "quality leisure time activity". Away from the consulting world, Pat enjoys family activity, keeping in synch with the professional lives of his wife Sharon, and three daughters. Pat enjoys golfing, running ½ marathons, photography, gardening, reading, collecting antiques, gourmet cooking, and model railroading.

Renae Clarkson is a Human Resources generalist. She has been employed in the hospitality industry for 10 years with The Grand Hotel (Kelowna), The Westin Bayshore (Vancouver), and, most recently with
The Sutton Place Hotel (Vancouver), where she was the Assistant Human Resources Director for six years.

Renae was born and raised in Kelowna, and has recently relocated back
to Kelowna with her husband and 18 month old daughter, as her husband has established a new business in the city. Renae is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (B.A. - Political Science Major). She has considerable experience in the HR field, being well versed in employee selection development. She is
a certified facilitator for the Social Style Model (Cahner's Tracom Group) workshops.

Renae balances her professional life with being the best mom that she can be, and when time permits, she pursues hobbies such as long-distance running, golfing, reading, and home decorating.
